Lois Harris
Writer, Editor, Living the Rural Life
I'm Lois, the writer. I started this blog just after I moved here to the boonies of Grey County from the city of Guelph.

I grew up in rural Ontario - Frome to be exact. A 'blink and you miss it' kind of place in the southwest. Went to the University of Waterloo. Moved to the Big Smoke (Toronto), where I worked in the public service as a communications adviser. Gradually made my way back to country living and set up my own business called Wordswork Communications.

Now, I live in an old (150+ years) house on three and a half acres - lovingly called the farmette. I have a supportive partner who not only feeds me but indulges my love of gardening, cats (we have five) and the occasional toodle in our classic Miata sports car.

We've had many, many adventures and I keep pinching myself because we're so fortunate.

This is for my friends and family - to keep in touch and hopefully be touched by the fun stories that come out of the farmette.
